Testimonials
Chris Foy - Premiership Referee
“Lorna many thanks for treating me and more importantly getting me 100% fit. As you know I struggled for a good while with a hamstring problem or I thought it was. But following various consultations and treatments I was getting nowhere until you were recommended by a friend. It was quite clear from the outset that I was in good hands and was with someone who was well skilled in identifying my condition. You treated me efficiently, professionally and more importantly you gave me the confidence to work hard safe in the knowledge I would make a full recovery. This I did and was able to carry on refereeing.”
Steve Prescott MBE
“When I was diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei, a rare form of abdominal cancer, in 2006 I was given lots of encouragement and support. I decided that I wanted to help and inspire other people who were also suffering and in need of help so I formed the Steve Prescott Foundation, which supports 2 charities close to my heart, The Christie Cancer Hospital and The Rugby League Benevolent Fund. Our fund raising events usually comprise of challenges which test the limits of mental strength and physical fitness.
At times I have struggled to be 100% fit and recently was advised to go to Sandy Mount Physiotherapy Centre where I was treated by Lorna. I have been treated by many experienced physios' during my playing days as a professional rugby league player with various rugby injuries from minor strains to more serious sports injuries and I must say that I have found Lorna to be one of the best. She is very approachable and she certainly knows her stuff. I certainly wouldn't have got through my last challenge without her expertise. I cannot praise Sandy Mount Physiotherapy Centre enough for their fantastic and professional care.”

"My name is Jamie Burdekin & I'm a professional wheelchair tennis player. I've competed in two Paralympic Games being Beijing where I won a bronze medal & London. I'm also a world champion & three time national champion. I've been competing at an elite level for ten years now & the sport has taken its toll on my body & I'm really lucky to have Lorna McCarthy at Sandy Mount Physiotherapy Centre as my private physio who I consider to be a vital crucial important part of my team. She has kept my body in check many times over the years.
I have known Lorna for many years now & I consider her the best physio who has ever treated me.
Lorna has worked on a spinal unit before which is an added bonus for me as I have a spinal injury, she knows my body inside out & has saved my career many times with her intensive treatment to my many niggling injuries to my back, shoulder, wrists & elbows.
Lorna is very honest, she tells it like it is & I trust her completely & I have every confidence in her.
Lorna will play a huge roll in my Qualification for Rio2016 and I feel safe in the knowledge when called upon that she's got my back!!!"
